He began his career at Steiner Sports, the country’s premier sports marketing firm, eventually rising to Director of Corporate Marketing and Business Development. Phil went on to create PR/PR (Player Relations/Public Relations), a brand management company for professional athletes and high-profile personalities. PR/PR clients included some of the top athletes in the world, ranging from Super Bowl and World Series champions, to skateboarders and supermodels. Comprising corporate appearances, endorsement deals, the procurement of luxury brand sponsorships, philanthropic outreach, crisis management and more, Phil managed his clients’ careers as he would those of his own family. STRAPPED POETS is the culmination of that collective experience.
